CCP is looking for experienced testers to work within the Eve Online Engineering, EVE Online Art, and Core Technology groups. The successful candidate would be responsible for games testing and the creation of workflows, schedules and systems to track code related defects. Other responsibilities include creating and executing test plans, organizing compatibility testing for multiple PC configurations and troubleshooting issues found during the development life cycle. Members of the team will also need to manage installer creation and testing, report defects and project status.
Required skills :
- 2 years as a QA Tester (or related area. Alternately technical experience combined with a deep knowledge of our games)
- A high degree of skill in troubleshooting, characterizing, and describing software defects
- Extensive testing of multimedia applications on multiple Microsoft Windows platforms (Windows XP, Vista, Win7)
- Good communication and documentation skills in English
- Ability to work independently while still being part of the team
Secondary/Specialist Skills :
- Experience developing and utilizing Windows test tools
- Experience with PC compatibility testing
- Experience setting up, configuring, and administering PCs and home networks
- Experience creating and testing installers for Windows applications using standard tools (e.g. WISE, InstallShield)
- Experience in 3d modeling and graphic design
- Deep CCP game knowledge
