Senior Game Engineer/Senior Programmer

CCP, makers of the largest game universe in existence, is looking for a Senior Engineer to be a part of the creative team that brought the world the groundbreaking MMO title, EVE Online. Successful applicants will join a seasoned team based in Shanghai, China where they will work on original IP for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills
  • Debugging /optimization skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative programming environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Solid understanding of coding process, standards and methodologies
  • Worked on at least one shipped title
  • Highly motivated and able to work both with large groups and alone with minimal supervision

    Pluses:
  • Xbox 360 or Sony PS3 console experience
  • Physics, math and AI skills
  • Multi-threaded programming experience
  • Scripting language experience
  • Relation database programming experience
  • Passion for games and online gaming experiences
  • Experience with the Unreal Engine

    Responsibilities
  • Integrate engine features with game features
  • Design, implement and debug technical aspects of game systems
  • Optimize game code for console
  • Create and maintain documentation on game systems
  • Work with other departments to understand and best implement features
  • Work with other engineering groups to understand and best use technology
  • Work with producers and quality assurance to achieve performance goals
  • Provide technical expertise to develop games or technologies in support of games. This may include architecture, design, authoring, adapting, maintaining, profiling, debugging, documenting, prototyping, and support for entire games or major systems
  • Reliably create good quality, performance-minded code
  • Assist in the sharing of ideas and exploration of new practices to continually improve the quality of software development for the company
  • Maintain a professional attitude during all stages of development
