Concept Artist

CCP is looking for Concept Artists for EVE Online. The Concept Artists create concept art and mood pieces for EVE Online under the direction of the Art Director. We are looking for artists who are excited to contribute to the quality and impact of a large project. Responsibilities include:

  • Sketching and designing environments, characters, vehicles, props, etc.
  • Preparing detailed design reference sheets for 3D production.
  • Participating in defining the look and feel of visual parts of EVE Online.

Retouching and finalizing assets delivered by 3D artists and outsourcing partners when necessary. Required Experience/skills

  • Excellent drawing and illustration skills.
  • Perfect knowledge of digital arts using the most common graphic software packages.
  • Ability to work in a team and under the supervision of an Art Director.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with others.
  • Previous similar position in the gaming industry, audiovisual production or graphic design is a plus.
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and texturing is a plus.

    Tips for applicants

    • Programmers should have a good resume and cover letter. A sample of their code is a definite advantage.
    • Artists should send a portfolio with resume and cover letter. Illustrators can send a physical file as their portfolio, whereas modelers and animators must submit a demo reel in CD or DVD format or email a link to their online portfolio. Please note that the demo or reel will not be returned to you.
    • Level designers should include a CD or DVD that contains files of 3D levels and maps that they've created.
