CCP, makers of the largest game universe in existence, is looking for a Senior Designer to be a part of the creative team that brought the world the groundbreaking MMO title, EVE Online. The ideal applicant will possess a strong design sense, leadership skills and experience developing an MMO and designing for a microtransaction-based payment model. Successful applicants will join a seasoned team based in Shanghai, China.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with team leads and design team to develop core concepts, game systems, and game content.
Balance and adjust gameplay.
Create and maintain detailed game design documentation throughout the project?s development.
Implement game content using commercial 3D software and engine tools such as Maya, 3D Studio and Unreal Engine.
Requirements
An intermediate level of English (minimum).
6+ years videogame industry experience with a thorough understanding of all facets of game design.
Proven success in creating compelling gameplay and developing creative solutions.
3+ years design experience on MMO game titles.
Must possess intimate knowledge of payment models for both casual and hardcore online games.
Experience developing microtransaction-based online titles a big plus.
Experience developing an MMO for the Asian market a plus.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to both conceptualize and implement game ideas.
