"This game was a must buy for MMORPG fans who were looking for a truly deep and expanding space based science fiction universe and after spending the last couple of weeks with it again I have to say it is a better buy today."

...I'm happy to admit that, having played EVE pretty much every day since it was released, it's by far the most enjoyable and attractive online game I've played.

visually stunning, fully immersive and very addictive - gigantic in game size and scope - freedom to do what one wishes - level of player interaction - level of detail in almost all aspects of game play

"..when the developers squash most of the bugs and start throwing in scripted events to keep things fresh, there won't be much keeping this game from being perfect. Your space epic awaits you, and it's only a trip to the store away."

"Eve: The Second Genesis is the logical step for the MMORPG genre. It is the step the genre was bound to take sooner or later and I am extremely happy it was Iceland based developer CCP that took that step. They have now set the bar for the genre, a standard that is likely to hold at least as long as Ian Bells and David Brabens Elite.

Game Chronicles (183)

It's stable, it's fun, there is a great player community, and the possibilities are endless, limited only by your drive and imagination. Space might be the final frontier but EVE is the genesis of a new type of online experience.

Those who always dreamt of roaming in teams through space to eliminate gangs of enemies, those who love to tweak their ships while saving money for a better steed, and wanted to earn skillpoints while not even being online, should be right at home with Eve.

EVE is one of those games that the more you play it, the more you want to play it. The big reason is because the nature of EVE is complete freedom to do what you want, how you want, and when you want.

You won't master this game quickly, it is meant to keep you busy for a longer time ... and it will keep you busy; once you get the feeling for it it can even become too addictive.

Game Revolution (183)

You could play this game for years before you really started to feel like you might have seen everything it had to offer. If you can just get past the rough beginning, the difficulty, and the steep learning curve, Eve Online is the biggest game you could possibly hope to play.

"A fresh breath in the MMORPG genre. In some respects it's ELITE on steroids."

PC Magazine (183)

This point-and-click MMOG offers exquisite outer-space graphics, and the customizable interface hosts features we wish were present in more games of this genre. EVE boasts a gargantuan universe and a complex player-run economy that's heaven for get-rich-quick schemers. And-a pleasant break from the usual leveling treadmill in so many MMOGs-your character pur-chases skills and training in real time.
