CCP Games to Launch EVE Online in Korean in November and Attend G-Star 2019

November 2019
EVE Online is coming to Korea

7 November 2019 - Reykjavík, Iceland – CCP Games, creators of the biggest single-shard MMO game of all time, EVE Online, have announced that the launch of the game in Korea will go live on 14 November.

Soon, the Asia-Pacific time zones in EVE Online - which include incredibly passionate communities from Japan, Australia and New Zealand - will see New Eden become more accessible to pilots from the Republic of Korea with the introduction of Korean localization.

This newly-localized release of EVE Online means that Korean-language players will have improved accessibility when it comes to all essential elements of the game, including the New Eden Store, The Agency content finder, in-game A.I. guide "Aura", the "Birth of the Capsuleer" intro video, the player market, ship fitting, skill training and much more.

CCP Games will be present at G-Star 2019 in Korea to support this release, including CEO Hilmar V. Pétursson who will be giving a presentation at the event, and a selection of CCP Games developers will also attend.

“We’re very excited to be taking the Korean-localized release of EVE Online to G-STAR 2019” said Hilmar V. Pétursson, CEO of CCP Games. “We are extremely keen to meet many of our passionate Korean Capsuleers for the first time and welcome them to the growing community of New Eden!”

The event will offer an excellent opportunity for existing and prospective Korean Capsuleers, as well as all attendees of G-Star, to get hands-on experience with the Korean version of EVE Online. CCP staff will be giving attendees the chance to experience elements of the game that would not normally be immediately accessible to new players. There will also be exclusive in-game gifts, such as ship SKINs made especially for the Korean launch, for all those who participate in activities.
