CCP is a leading video game developer, founded in 1997 in Reykjavik, Iceland. CCP’s mission is to create virtual worlds that are more meaningful than real life. CCP pioneers technology and design that facilitates emergent behaviour, empowering people with compelling means of self-expression. With the launch of EVE Online in May 2003, CCP established itself as one of the most innovative companies in the interactive entertainment industry, winning numerous awards and receiving critical acclaim worldwide.

EVE Online is an immersive, community-driven experience filled with adventure, riches, danger and glory. Set tens of thousands of years in the future, EVE Online’s universe of New Eden is governed by a hyper-capitalistic economy where space flight is the path to all commerce, communication and conflict. Players are challenged with establishing themselves as major competitors, trusted by their friends and feared by their enemies. To accomplish this, the principal tools available to players - apart from an extensive array of sophisticated equipment, customizable spaceships and in-game corporations - are their natural business acumen, social skills, Machiavellian thinking and cunning combat strategies.

EVE Online is renowned for its scale, complexity, and its gigantic, world record-breaking in-game battles where thousands of players come head to head in a single star system. The Bloodbath of B-R5RB, a battle involving thousands of players in a single star system, took 21 hours and was recognized as one of the largest and most expensive battles in gaming history.

CCP Games is the biggest gaming company in Iceland with over 290 employees across its three studios - their headquarters in Reykjavík plus additional offices in London, England and Shanghai, China.
